• Designed syllabus for B com taxation course as chairman of Board of Studies in commerce of SRI Krishna Devaraya University, Anantapuramu.
• Received appreciation award on 18-10-2022, from the Commissioner of Collegiate Education,Amaravathi ,Andhrapradesh for his meritorious service as Content Developer & Master trainer under Learning Management Systems(LMS) Programme.
• As coordinator of MANA TV program Dr.G.Pavan Kumar represented the institution to deliver Mana TV presentation on demonetization by the students at Hyderabad on January 2017.
• Senior faculty members of the department Sri.S.Venkatesulu and sri.M. Basavaraju acted as question paper setters regularly for B.Com courses to SSBN degree college (Autonomous) Anantapuramu.
• All the faculty members of the department involves in the preparation of question papers for B.Com and BBA courses of the Department of Distance Education,Sri Krishna Devaraya University,Anantapuramu.
• Department regularly conducts short term certificate courses in tally and ms-office for the benefit of students.
• Under consumer club the Department of Commerce regularly organizes consumer awareness rally, meetings and competitions like essay writing , elocution ,debate are also conducted to create awareness on consumer rights and issues.
• Sri.M.Basavaraju senior faculty member and NSS coordinator of unit -1 regularly conducts NSS special camps in the villages around Guntakal town and regularly organizes sevice activities with NSS volunteers at Hanuman temple at Kasapuram, and venkateswara swamy temple  on special occasions.
